Echoes of Innocence Lost
In the haven where laughter should soar, A silence falls, amidst the summer's roar. Whispers of joy are now laments that part, As unbidden sorrow clutches the heart. Where water danced, and feet were light, Stand shadows of a day turned night. In mourning, we grasp for the morrow's light, To hold the echoes of innocence, still bright.
