In echo's place where laughter waned, Numbers spoke where silence reigned. The seats stood empty, halls bereft, Of youthful dreams, so swiftly cleft. Yet resolute, the spirits fought, To teach, to hope, to fill with thought, The classless rooms, in patience wrapped, Await the day the minds unwrapped.
